Chair of Computer Science Prof. Dr. Ulrich Lang
Research and development activities at the
Chair of Computer Science are oriented towards improving computer
based problem solving capabilities by optimizing simulations, improving
data handling capabilities and speeding up elements of the process chain
and integrating process steps into consistent problem solving environments.
Visualization and virtual reality tools are a special focus as they
accelerate and improve the understanding of complex data and models in a
wide variety of disciplines and application fields.
Prof. Lang's chair is co-located with the Computing Center at the University of Cologne
(RRZK).
